Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our Harvest crew. The primary focus of this position will be transporting seed corn to area facilities. This is a seasonal position. We operate Walking Floor and Hopper Trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manual transmission vehicles. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting seed, grain, and other ag products safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. Local drivers are home nightly. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer or other commercial vehicles to transport seed, grain to designated locations. Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance. Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transport. Follow company guidelines as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding commercial driving. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in truck driving with knowledge of manual transmission operation preferred. Familiarity with various trailer types, and freight handling is a plus. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo. Strong route driving skills with the ability to navigate various terrains and weather conditions. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
