Truck Driver

Overview We are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Truck Driver to operate specialized tractor-trailers across various routes. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a solid understanding of freight handling, and the ability to safely transport oversized or heavy loads. This role requires a professional with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and familiarity with different trailer types, including flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks. The Heavy Haul Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers, including flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks, adhering to all safety protocols and traffic laws Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery across assigned territories Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delivery updates Assist with special handling requirements for oversized or sensitive loads such as heavy machinery or hazardous materials Follow all federal and state transportation regulations to ensure compliance at all times Experience Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tractor-trailers and load & unload operations Familiarity with various trailer types including flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks Experience in route driving and delivery logistics for freight transportation Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Prior experience with freight handling involving load securing and cargo management Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy haul operations and vehicle maintenance Valid CDL license with appropriate endorsements for different trailer types (e.g., tankers, flatbeds) is required Additional skills such as forklift operation are a plus but not mandatory
