Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver/Woodworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. On non-driving days you would work in our manufacturing facility. Pay range is $24 while driving and $20 while working in the warehouse. BOX TRUCK
(or Larger) ONLY/ Wood worker~ Local Driver/Laborer needed Immediate full time, Monday thru Friday. Work hours vary from day to day depending on the workload and distance of deliveries. Preference to applicants in Milton/Rochester and surrounding areas. The truck will be loaded daily when staff is available. On occasion, when staff is not available, you would load the truck prior to the next day. Also when not driving you may work in the warehouse building our products for deliveries. Pneumatic tool experience is a plus but not required.
Driving responsibilities include:
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards, Responsible for daily logs, making deliveries safely and adhering to a timeline, Maintaining the vehicle: (wash trucks - keeping inside and outside clean, tell Management when services are due/needed for trucks, Fill trucks at end of shift with fuel and assure Def is in tanks, and daily truck inspection before leaving for the day), Using navigation apps or GPS to determine the best route, plan departure time daily based on 1st delivery location, weather/road/traffic conditions, Help us continue customer satisfaction with your smile and professionalism, ask for feedback on services provided, Resolve client's concerns or forward to management and Inform customers about new products and services.
Warehouse duties:
Operate equipment on the assembly line efficiently and safely. Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks. Assemble components and products according to specifications and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety and efficiency. Assist in loading and unloading materials in the warehouse as needed. Collaborate with Shop Manager & team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Job brief:
We are looking for a conscientious, responsible, and experienced Driver to transport deliveries safely in our 24ft & 26ft box trucks. You will be driving up north in the mountains as well as in congested Boston. Therefore, must be comfortable driving larger box trucks and maneuvering them in possibly tight spaces and making sure to adhere to all traffic restrictions. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations. Note that you do not need any special endorsements and we will pay for a medical card if you are the right person for the job. We will also train you to work in the warehouse.
Requirements:
Proven Driver experience with ability to follow DOT regulations and safety standards, A valid driver's license and clean driving record, familiarity with GPS devices, knowledge of geographical areas and major state roads, ability to lift repeatedly 30 lbs. and cases/items, Ability to get in and out of back of box truck, a polite and professional disposition and ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (rush hour). Pneumatic tool experience a plus but not required. Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug testing.
