Job Description

Yard Jockey Immediate Hire & Start Shift:
4:00 pm-12:00 am Monday-Friday We are seeking a reliable and safety focused Yard Jockey to manage the efficient movement of trailers throughout our facility yard. In this role, you will operate a jockey truck/terminal tractor to position trailers at loading and unloading docks, support shipping and receiving operations, and ensure trailers are properly staged, inspected, and ready for transit. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth flow of raw materials and finished goods. Duties Manage the movement of trailers to and from loading and unloading doors. Operate a jockey truck or terminal tractor to maneuver trailers within the facility yard. Safely load or unload trailers and prepare them for transit, including inspecting trailer conditions. Maintain accurate documentation, including packing slips and shipping tickets. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including the wearing of required PPE such as hair nets, safety glasses, and safety shoes. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard area. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license Minimum 3 years of commercial driving or yard jockey experience Experience operating tractor trailers, forklifts, or similar terminal equipment Ability to work in a high noise, high vibration environment, stand for extended periods, and safely operate heavy machinery. Ability to work overtime as needed. Reliable attendance and willingness to work varied shifts and overtime, including nights or weekends.
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour Application Question(s): Do you have CDL class A license? Can you work 4:00 pm-12:00 am Monday-Friday? Please note both are a requirement.
