Description

Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment in accordance with Company policy to ensure windows, lights and mirrors are clean. Safely and efficiently operate equipment that may include: roll-off truck, dump truck, tractor-trailer, forklift, front-end loader and other equipment using proper safety standards.

Continuously monitor the condition of the equipment to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean tracks or wheels on equipment, as needed.

Perform and document minor service on equipment, referring more complicated mechanical issues to management for repair.

Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Drive onsite vehicles as needed.

Maintain a professional and courteous manner.

Monitor and assist customers dropping material off.

Perform all directed tasks with minimal supervision.

Performs cleanup tasks to keep work area clean and orderly.

Inspect customers' loads and direct them to the appropriate area to unload.

Monitor customers as they are unloading to ensure that the material they are dropping off is not contaminated with unapproved material.

Assist with training new personnel.

Must be able to work occasional overtime including weekends. Schedule is M-F 9am-5pm with alternating Saturdays 7:00am-1:00pm. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision benefits

Department Specific Benefits May Requirements

Possess and maintain a commercial driver license.

No DWI or DUI convictions. No MVR points on the driving record within 3 years of hire date.

Ability to follow written instructions; read and use maps properly and enter information correctly on OTC driver paperwork forms.

Physically and mentally capable of operating a commercial vehicle safely as well as handling the physical demands of sustained sitting, walking and driving in a noisy/outdoor environment.

Have no medical conditions or physical limitations that would prevent the lifting of 50 pounds or getting in and out of a commercial vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.

Ability to perform physical requirements of the job prolonged physical exertions, including standing for a long period of time.
