Job Description
Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a CDL Sales Route Driver to safely service customers in the Environmental Services industry. In this Transportation & Logistics role, you will operate CDL vehicles to collect used oil, waste, and parts-cleaning materials on an assigned route while promoting Safety-Kleen products and services. You'll build relationships with automotive, industrial, and commercial customers, ensuring compliant documentation, safe loading/unloading, and accurate manifests. This position combines driving, customer service, and sales, supporting sustainable recycling programs in a safety-first, team-focused culture with training and growth opportunities. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle on assigned sales and service routes Collect used oil, waste, and parts-cleaning materials from customer sites Promote and sell Safety-Kleen environmental and recycling services on route Build and maintain strong customer relationships with industrial and automotive clients Ensure accurate manifests, logs, and regulatory documentation Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic truck maintenance checks Comply with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures Handle, load, and unload hazardous and non-hazardous materials safely Coordinate with dispatch and sales teams to meet route and service goals Participate in ongoing training and safety programs to support continuous improvement Required Skills Commercial driving (Class B or A) Route planning and time management Customer service and account management Basic route sales and upselling Safe loading/unloading of liquids and waste Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations Hazardous materials handling Electronic logging device (ELD) use Completion of manifests and shipping paperwork Basic mechanical and pre-trip/post-trip inspections
