The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to customers, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate delivery records. This role requires a professional driver with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Route Driver will operate various vehicles, primarily Refrigerated Vans, and handle the loading and unloading of goods while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate a refrigerated van or similar commercial vehicle along designated routes in Brooklyn, Manhattan and New Jersey. Deliver products to customers efficiently and on schedule, providing excellent customer service throughout each interaction Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of goods Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records Assist with warehouse activities including loading, moving, and organizing inventory as needed Handle heavy lifting during loading/unloading processes while following proper safety procedures Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues that may arise Follow all traffic laws, safety guidelines, and company policies during route driving Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling loading/unloading tasks effectively Knowledge of safety procedures related to driving, lifting, and warehouse operations Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and adhere to scheduled routes This position offers dedicated drivers the opportunity to contribute to our team's success while delivering exceptional service.
