The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work effectively with our customers and co-workers. Responsibilities- Operate and drive tandem axle day cabs pulling 53' dry vans.
- No touch freight.
- Flexible start time - drivers work 9-10 hour workdays.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
- Manage paperwork related to deliveries including bills of lading and shipping documents. Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL CLASS A) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum one year CDL driving experience.
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is
REQUIRED.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Ability to assist staff and jockey trailers as needed.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety practices.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$1,456.00 - $1,750.00 per week Expected hours: 46 - 55 per weekBenefits:
