Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Local Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible to transport containers, open top containers and flat racks safely to and from the port. CDL class A required. Duties Safely operate company vehicles, including chassis, flatbeds and step decks Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries and pickups Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items are secure during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs Communicate with dispatch and clients professionally regarding delivery schedules or any delays Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times Requirements Valid driving licence with a clean driving record Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience Knowledge of flatbed operations is desirable but not essential; training can be provided Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency Ability to organise routes effectively and manage time well Good organisational skills and attention to detail Experience with local NJ/NY ports Ability to pull a 20ft and 40ft chassis safely Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks as required This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their driving skills and enjoy delivering excellent service within their local community.

Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 50 per week
