Driver / Donations Ambassador

Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including box trucks, shuttle buses, and heavy equipment to pick up and deliver donations across designated routes. Load and unload donations efficiently using tools such as pallet jacks or manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical soundness, report any issues promptly, and perform basic maintenance as needed. Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption to ensure operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members and coordinators regarding schedules, route changes, or any logistical concerns. Assist in moving donations within warehouses or storage facilities using appropriate equipment like flatbeds or tow trucks when necessary. Represent the organization positively by providing excellent customer service during interactions with donors and recipients. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving roles such as delivery driver experience, shuttle driving, bus driving, or route driving. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles preferred. Knowledge of heavy haul operations, forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or tanker/trailer driving is advantageous. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and engage professionally with the public. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting donations or moving items safely within warehouse settings.
