Job Description

Overview Reports to Operations Manager Plan and execute assigned orders to exceed customer expectations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain profitability for McCollister's and its members. Provides pick up and delivery services for a variety of household and household goods commodities. Strives to satisfy customers by providing individualized service according to established plans. Works with customers to execute service and resolve minor problems. Identifies significant customer service problems to the dispatcher and planner for resolution. Records the status of orders and completes associated paperwork thoroughly. Success in this position is measured through safety ratings, productivity, customer satisfaction, and claims rating. A valid Real ID is required for access to military bases. Responsibilities Execute shipment plans within the scope of branch operations and United Van Lines. Manage workload to maximize efficiency and exceed customer expectations. Operate vehicle and equipment in the safest manner possible. Protect customer products and facilities- protect customer property during packing and movement. Identify significant customer service problems to dispatch for resolution. Maintain accurate order status for accountability. Supervise and train helpers. Vehicle operation. Status orders. Quality assurance. Handling freight. Completing paperwork. Customer relations. Education Equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience A minimum 2 years' experience desired Experience packing, loading, or driving for household functions Commercial Class A driver's license McCollister's driver certification Clean, safe driving record Ability to lift 75 lbs Positive communication skills Competent computer and ipad skills Candidate must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Must be organized Proven track record of working in a team environment and autonomously Key Competencies Strong work ethic Positive communication skills Customer service skills Very organized and work in a timely manner Problem solving and conflict resolution Excellent telephone communication skills Team oriented and personally committed to continuous improvement Demonstrated ability to interface effectively and positively with all members of the organization Basic computer and typing skills for basic Microsoft Office and Google G Suite applications
