In this energetic role, you will operate tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently and safely within local routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks including manual transmission tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks on designated local routes Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Deliver freight accurately to multiple stops within the local area, managing route driving with precision and timeliness Secure loads properly for transport, ensuring cargo integrity during transit Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and inspection reports Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or vehicle issues Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record Proven experience as a truck driver with aggregate/hotmix experience preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently Familiarity with operating End Dump and Tandem trucks.
