Job Type Temporary Description Landus Cooperative is currently seeking an individual that will safely haul grain, fertilizer, and associated materials and equipment between locations while maintaining a clean & efficient running truck and trailer. Local runs allow for home every night, very few exceptions. This position will assist both the Collins and Mitchellville hub locations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Proper communications with truck dispatcher, shop personnel, and regional transportation supervisor. Haul grain, dry & liquid fertilizer to and from farms and between company locations. Liquid & dry fertilizer tending to applicators. Efficient operation of semi tractor and trailer. Operate semi truck/trailer in a safe and professional manner. Knowledge of vehicle equipment. Follow all Landus Cooperative safety policies and procedures. Follow all State and federal driving laws. Follow all applicable state DOT rules and regulations. Perform daily vehicle inspections. Participate in company DOT drug and alcohol program. Maintain clean truck/trailer. Monitor vehicles for regular maintenance/service needs. Assist with vehicle repair and maintenance when needed on the road or in the shop. Complete daily truck log sheets properly. Assist all departments with operational duties as needed. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Class A CDL with required endorsements or able to obtain one and maintain current DOT physical. This position requires the safe operation of a motor vehicle to perform the essential functions of the job. The employee must meet the qualifications set forth in our motor vehicle safety policy.
