Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Company Driver with a Class A commercial driver's license to join our team. In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers over-the-road (OTR) to transport freight safely and efficiently across various routes based out of Eunice, NM. Your expertise in hazardous materials, and diverse cargo types will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills and contribute to our logistics operations with energy and professionalism. Position available for signing bonus! Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds and dry van over-the-road (OTR) on designated routes. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight while following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations. Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes and ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, load & unload activities, and compliance with safety protocols for dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with hazmat & tanker endorsement. Must be 21 years of age with proven experience in truck driving, delivery driving, or over-the-road (OTR) routes involving tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty vehicles. Two years verifiable highway driving experience. Knowledge of dry van trailers, flatbed trailers, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (maximum 4 demerit points) Clean medical certificate current within 90 days. Clean drug and alcohol test. Clean criminal record search within 90 days. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and safety procedures related to commercial truck driving. Strong commitment to safety practices in accordance with federal regulations governing commercial driving and hazardous materials transportation with a positive, professional attitude.
