Job Description
In this role, the CDL Yard Driver will be responsible for transporting waste and hazardous materials between Clean Earth facilities in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations and Clean Earth policies. This role may also be required to operate switchers to dock or reposition containers and other large items using warehouse equipment to assist. Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Safely transport waste between the TSDF, 10-day and Transportation garage using the following equipment: tractor, trailer, tanker, roll off frame, box van in accordance with all local, State, Federal, FMCSA, DOT, and company safety guidelines. Perform warehouse duties related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials, and general facility duties. Load, unload, move, or store items according to delivery, routing documents or supervisor's guidance. Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests. Operate a hand truck, forklift, or other heavy equipment. Performs various regulatory compliance and safety tasks including but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle, placarding, and load securement. Report any incidents, injuries or safety concerns to management in a timely manner. Adhere to and abide by CE safety and security policies and procedures (e.g.
Cardinal Rules, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Transportation Manual). Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management.
Work Environment:
Abilitty to sit, stand, walk, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods including climbing in and out of the back of a commercial truck Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance and up to 75 pounds unassisted on occasion. Ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack, hand truck, or other device to assist. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts. Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes, alarms, and other audible safety signals. Ability and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE), including, but not limited to, safety glasses, hard hat, steel-toed boots, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator. Subject to hazards including a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving vehicles, electrical current, and exposure to chemicals. Ability to work overtime hours as needed based on business needs. Starting rate $32.00 hourly

GED Experience:
(Required minimum of years of relevant experience.) Must be 21 years of age in accordance with FMCSA guidelines Possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License Maintain a current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsement preferred or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire Experience as a yard jockey or hostler or driving box trucks preferred Experience with a Vac Truck, straight truck, or combo vehicle as well as roll-off bins/boxes preferred
Skills:
