This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping crews supplied, maintaining equipment, and supporting overall jobsite productivity. The CDL Driver works closely with foremen and superintendents and is expected to operate with reliability, awareness, and accountability on every load. Key Responsibilities Driving & Hauling Safely operate dump trucks, water trucks, or other commercial vehicles as assigned Haul materials such as dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and construction debris Load and unload materials safely and efficiently Follow haul routes, jobsite directions, and production needs Equipment Operation & Support Assist with loading operations in coordination with operators and crews Operate water trucks for dust control and compaction support (if applicable) Support general jobsite needs when not actively hauling Safety & Compliance Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and jobsite safety requirements Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Immediately report mechanical issues, incidents, or safety concerns Maintain clean and safe operation of assigned equipment Jobsite Coordination Communicate with foremen and dispatch to stay aligned with production needs Maintain awareness of jobsite traffic, equipment, and conditions Work as part of the crew to keep operations moving efficiently What Success Looks Like The right candidate will bring reliability, awareness, and strong work ethic: Shows up on time and ready to work every day Moves material efficiently to support production Operates equipment safely and consistently Communicates clearly and works well with field crews Qualifications Valid CDL (Class A or B depending on equipment) Clean driving record Experience operating dump trucks, water trucks, or similar equipment Strong understanding of jobsite safety and awareness Perform the physical demands of lifting 25 lbs, repetitive enter/exit of equipment, etc. Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment Strong work ethic and reliability Preferred Qualifications Experience in civil construction or site development Familiarity with hauling for earthwork, utilities, or paving operations Basic equipment operation experience (loader, skid steer, etc.) Work Environment Active construction sites in varying weather conditions Physically active role with time spent driving and on-site Early mornings and potential overtime depending on project needs Compensation & Benefits Compensation is structured to reward production, reliability, and long-term contribution.
