Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tow Truck Operator and become a vital part of our roadside assistance and vehicle recovery services! In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for safely transporting disabled, damaged, or illegally parked vehicles using specialized tow trucks. Your expertise will ensure quick, efficient, and professional service to our customers while maintaining safety standards at all times. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely. Conduct automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach for each vehicle. Load and unload vehicles carefully using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches, ensuring no damage occurs during transit. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally. Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, resolving issues with tact and professionalism. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle details, and service reports for record-keeping purposes. Perform routine inspections of tow truck equipment and perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed. Requirements Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles with a valid driver's license for heavy-duty or commercial driving. Mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and working with manual transmissions. Familiarity with automotive repair tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols related to vehicle recovery. Ability to load & unload vehicles safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or winches. Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally in high-pressure situations. Mechanical experience or mechanic background is highly desirable to troubleshoot vehicle issues effectively. Valid driver's license with clean driving record; experience driving tow trucks or similar vehicles is preferred. $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
