Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and various cargo types, across designated routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving and adherence to safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel and time. Load and unload freight safely, handling logistics cargo with manual handling techniques and ensuring proper securing of loads. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations, maintaining safety at all times. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure truck safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports as required by company policies and regulatory agencies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery details and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving for over-the-road (OTR) routes or local deliveries. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or flatbed as applicable. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations and automobile transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with manual handling of cargo preferred. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS systems to follow designated routes accurately. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time.
