Position Detail:
Monday - Friday 10:30am - 3pm = 20 hours/week •Will need some flexibility for early or later appointments or admissions
Benefits:

Position Summary:
The Driver is responsible for transportation of residents and assistance with activities. The Driver will be driving an 11-passenger bus with handicap lift accessibility a majority of the driving. Previous experience with bus preferred but not required if Driver is willing and able to be trained.
Essential Job Function & Responsibilities:
Safely operate a residential bus or other company vehicles for scheduled transportation, including hospital discharges and resident outings Assist residents in boarding and disembarking the vehicle, ensuring safety and comfort at all times Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle, conducting regular inspections, and reporting any maintenance issues Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations, ensuring timely arrival to all destinations Support the Activities (Life Enrichment) Department by engaging in 1:1 visits with residents, providing companionship and social interaction Assist with the transport of residents to internal programs and events, ensuring they arrive safely and on time Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and their families to coordinate transportation needs Complete required documentation for trips and vehicle logs
Education:
High School diploma or GED preferred
License:
Valid Driver's License; this does not require a special class license
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age. Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
