As a Snow Blower Tractor Operator , you'll be responsible for operating tractors equipped with snow blowers to efficiently clear snow from commercial properties throughout Central New York. You'll help ensure our customers' properties remain safe, accessible, and professionally maintained during every snow event. Key Responsibilities Safely operate tractors equipped with snow blowers to remove snow from assigned commercial properties, drive lanes, parking areas, and other designated locations. Respond to snow dispatches within 30 minutes of being contacted. Work early mornings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during winter weather events. Ensure assigned properties are serviced completely, safely, and according to company standards and customer contracts. Assist with snow removal at additional locations outside your assigned route when needed. Conduct pre-shift inspections of tractors, snow blowers, and attachments to ensure equipment is operating safely. Maintain clean, fueled, and ready-to-operate equipment throughout the season. Accurately document completed services using a tablet while on-site. Report equipment malfunctions, property concerns, accidents, or safety hazards to your supervisor immediately. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age Valid New York State Driver's License General understanding of or experience operating manual transmission/clutch-powered equipment Previous tractor, agricultural, heavy equipment, or snow removal experience preferred Ability to look over shoulder, twist, and turn body/neck repeatedly for long hours Ability to safely drive in snow, ice, and challenging winter conditions Ability to work extended hours during snow events Ability to lift 50 pounds. Willingness to be on call to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime. Reliable transportation to report for work Must be able to use a tablet for service documentation Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
