AgriAmerica LLC is a commercial grower and processor of grapes. With several vineyard locations across northern Chautauqua County and a grape juice factory located in Fredonia NY, the Company provides a productive, pleasant and respectful work atmosphere where all team members are treated like family. Seasonal hired associates are often hired on a full-time, permanent basis and become eligible for benefits after the season is completed. Regardless of whether you are highly experienced or entry level, if you have a desire for daily adventure and enjoy hands-on work with a variety of tools and machinery out on the farm or within an industrial food processing facility, AgriAmerica is the place to be! Newly hired seasonal associates are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus after the harvest season is completed with acceptable attendance and performance.
Position Summary:
A Seasonal CDL-A Driver is responsible for transporting full bins of grapes from vineyard locations to the processing facility and returning empty bins to the field. This is a local driving position with no overnight travel, ideal for drivers who want to be home daily and contribute to a fast-paced harvest operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate tractor-trailers between vineyard sites and the processing plant Ability to maneuver truck and trailer in tight field conditions Transport full bins of grapes to the processing facility Return empty bins to designated vineyard locations Secure loads and ensure proper bin placement Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues Follow all DOT regulations and company safety protocols Complete other duties as requested by management
Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT drug screening Familiarity with agricultural or seasonal hauling a plus Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Able to climb in and out of trucks and trailers Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather Able to lift, toss, and secure straps over bin covers
Seasonal Duration:
Late-August to Mid-November Average 30-60 hours per week 4 to 7 day work week Day or Night, dependent on harvest schedule

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
