Job Description
Duties:
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy equipment
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Plan and follow designated routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules
- Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks accurately and in a timely manner
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and vehicle maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) Class A with appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Knowledge of and ability to operate various types of trucks, including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, etc.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles
- Ability to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading purposes
- Drug and Alcohol test/
Follicle Examine Skills:
- Proficient in route planning and navigation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure on-time deliveries
- Good communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers on the road
