Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable DRIVER—BOX
TRUCK AND VAN
to join our dynamic logistics team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating box trucks and vans to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. Your enthusiasm for driving, combined with excellent customer service skills, will ensure timely deliveries and positive experiences for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our delivery operations, supporting warehouse functions and ensuring smooth transportation processes. This is a Union position with great benifits. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and vans for local and regional deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Assist with warehouse operations by moving materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, manual transmission operation, and weight handling in the workplace. Experience Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier involving commercial driving of box trucks or vans is preferred. Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to adhere to traffic regulations, DOT guidelines, and safe lifting practices is essential. Experience in moving goods manually or with equipment in a warehouse setting enhances your suitability for this role. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively during delivery interactions. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
