Full Job Description Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of products to customers using a commercial vehicle. Recover and deliver to JFK airline cargo locations. Recover and deliver to locations in NYC and NJ. Maintain constant contact with dispatchers to provide real-time updates. Verify shipper, consignee, pieces, and weight of all shipments upon delivery. Responsible for maintaining company vehicles at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure they are in good working order. Assist in warehouse duties (loading, unloading, and preparation).
Qualifications:
Requires at least one (1) year of CDL driving experience. Must possess a valid and clean CDL Class B license. Must be familiar with the Airport Cargo locations at JFK Airport Experience in the logistics industry is preferred, but not required. Ability to read and understand the English language for reading address labels, completing the necessary paperwork, following special delivery instructions, and company SOPs. Ability to read maps and navigation systems. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with customers professionally and courteously. Ability to use good judgment to carry out detailed instructions. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 lbs. Clean driving record, complete background check, and drug testing.
Available shifts:
Mornings on weekdays and weekends. Hours will vary depending on need.
