We are seeking a skilled and dependable CDL Class A driver, with five (5) years of experience. Please note that this job requires long distance driving. You will be home every other night and on weekends. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer (18-wheeler). Transport freight and mulch products to commercial clients. Operate Wilkens Live Belt trailers (training provided if needed). Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Complete and maintain accurate logs, including delivery receipts and inspection reports, in accordance with DOT and company policies. Maintain clear and regular communication with the Dispatcher to provide updates on delivery status, report delays, or request assistance as needed. Monitor vehicle performance and maintenance needs, report any mechanical issues or required repairs, and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely servicing. Deliver products on time while maintaining professional customer service. Interact professionally with customers at delivery sites, representing the company in a positive light and addressing any questions or concerns about shipment. Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety standards. Adhere to all federal and state traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies, including maintaining a clean driving record. Essential Job Qualifications Minimum 5 years of CDL-A driving experience. Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements; a clean driving record is required. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, basic vehicle maintenance, and excellent communication skills. Familiarity with ELD systems. Experience operating tractor-trailers in regional routes. Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
