Job Description

Hoffman Towing is seeking to fill the position of Tow Truck Drivers/ Roadside Assistance Technicians in the Lake Placid area. Come join a great team as we continue to grow our business and get the satisfaction of helping others in need. This is a fast-paced industry where you are tasked with responding to disabled vehicles and helping the customer to get back on their way. Vehicle mechanical experience is preferred, but not necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Must reside in the immediate Lake Placid area, or willing to relocate there upon being hired
  • This area would include Saranac Lake, Wilmington and Keene area.
  • Active and valid driver's license
  • Approval of license history by insurance company (Driver's Abstract will be requested from all applicants)
  • Be self-driven, motivated and work well without direct supervision.
  • Work well with the public, roadside service providers, insurance companies and other employees.
  • Pass insurance companies' background checks
  • Be a team player
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be able safely operate a large truck, enter and exit a truck multiple time during a shift and safely load and unload vehicles.
  • Be willing to work weekends and be on call overnight to respond to calls.
