Job Description

Job Summary:
Currently seeking a responsible, professional, and courteous truck driver. Employee is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, building loads for deliveries and loading/unloading building materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts and medium duty trucks, optimizing loading for efficient delivery and supporting other warehouse/yard functions to ensure optimal operation of the business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
  • High regard for customer service standards set forth by Genesee Lumber
  • Must be able to operate a forklift and other technical equipment
  • Load/unload products in an organized manner in accordance with policies
  • Strap product on truck in a safe manner and within DOT guidelines
  • Maintain truck log within state and federal regulations
  • Possess a high regard for keeping a clean and safe workplace
  • Always adhere to the company's quality standards
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • General understanding of OSHA safety regulations
  • Possess basic mathematic skills
  • Must be able to properly lift heavy objects
  • Able to assess weight distribution when loading trucks
  • Ability to learn and follow safety procedures
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, depending on the season
  • Employee must be reliable, punctual, and safety-minded, with a strong work ethic.
  • Clean CDL Class A or B Driver's License
  • CDL Class B Driver's License is
REQUIRED
Pay based on experience.

Training in any area that candidate does not have proficient experience in will be provided.
