This position combines commercial driving, physical material handling, and customer service. Drivers will operate a company vehicle along an assigned route, traveling to customer locations to collect recyclable and secure materials. Unlike a traditional delivery or pickup role, drivers will frequently enter customer offices and business facilities to retrieve materials directly from designated collection areas . The ideal candidate is professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with customers throughout the workday. Responsibilities Safely operate a commercial vehicle requiring a Class B CDL Follow an assigned daily route to service commercial customer accounts Enter customer offices, businesses, and facilities to retrieve recyclable materials Remove collection containers, bins, boxes, and other materials from designated areas Load and secure collected materials safely onto the truck Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with customers Serve as a positive representative of the company at each customer location Communicate with customers regarding pickups, service needs, or concerns as necessary Complete required route documentation and maintain accurate pickup records Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Follow all DOT regulations, company procedures, and safety requirements Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned vehicle Perform repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday Qualifications Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL B) Clean and acceptable driving record Ability to meet DOT requirements Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional appearance and demeanor when entering customer facilities Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Comfortable with a physically active position involving frequent loading and unloading Ability to safely lift and move collection containers and recyclable materials Previous route driving, delivery, pickup, recycling, waste management, or customer service experience is a plus Ideal Candidate This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys driving but doesn't want to spend the entire day behind the wheel .
