Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our logistics team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, to ensure timely delivery of freight across multiple routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent route management will be vital in maintaining our high standards of service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles following FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured correctly for transport. Transport various types of freight including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, refrigerated cargo, flatbed loads, and tanker shipments while complying with hazardous materials regulations. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Manage documentation related to freight delivery, including bills of lading, delivery logs, and compliance paperwork. Maintain professionalism during delivery driving tasks by adhering to all safety protocols and customer service standards. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving or delivery driving within a logistics or transportation environment. Familiarity with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling and securing cargo on flatbeds or tankers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for transporting dangerous goods. Experience operating various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers with manual transmissions or refrigerated trailers. Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently on long-haul routes while maintaining compliance with route schedules. Demonstrated ability to handle manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations.
