CDL Class A Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious CDL Class A Driver to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight across various routes. PA to NY. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and proper handling. Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers with precision and care. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while managing route driving responsibilities to optimize fuel usage and delivery schedules. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and any route adjustments needed. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL Class A license; experience with manual transmissions is preferred. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload operations using forklifts or other equipment. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, efficiency, and adherence to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Ability to navigate routes confidently while managing time effectively for on-time deliveries. Good communication skills for clear interaction with dispatchers and clients.
