Job Description

Proven experience as a truck driver with a valid commercial hazmat driver's license (CDL). Must have a TWIC or the ability to obtain one ASAP Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting fuel tankers safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong understanding of truck operation, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to handle heavy hauling of fuel tankers. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo. Responsibilities Operate a tractor and tri-axle tanker of up to 107,000 lbs. Safely load and unload liquid fuel product, ensuring proper loading and off loading procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and cargo delivered. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Handle manual transmission vehicles as required by specific routes or loads. Skills Familiarity with tankers, tractor-trailers. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations. Ability to perform manual loading and unloading tasks as needed. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps.
