Your role at
BHSN:
As a Driver at BHSN, you will provide needed transportation to recipients to/from programming and as needed for responsive demand.
Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri. 4 days will be 7-4. 1 day will be a 4 hour day. This half day shifts every 13 weeks based on PROS semester schedule and transport needs. What s in it for you? Generous benefits, including personalized health coverage, paid time off, and holiday pay Working within our community, making a real impact, working alongside passionate colleagues Accessible leadership team, coaching for your growth, and ample training opportunities With BHSN University, we provide our team members with continuous learning, mentorship, and internal education opportunities to encourage our team to continue discovering and innovating As a rapidly growing organization, there are endless opportunities to grow within the organization Community discounts, loan forgiveness & more What your day might look like: Safely and courteously transport PROS clients within Clinton County to/from program as per established routes and schedules; report incidents promptly and in accordance with Agency policy; Accurately track data of daily logged mileage of recipient transports for billing purposes and in compliance with state/federal regulation and the BHSN Billing Compliance Plan; Safely transport recipients to various program activities as requested by specific Program Director Responsible for daily maintenance checks of vehicle and report of any required maintenance; ensure that all required regulatory paperwork is accurately and efficiently completed and maintained Ensures that vehicles are kept clean, inside and outside, and that all equipment on the vehicle is in good working order, i.e. communication devices; Comply with all NYS Department of Motor Vehicle and U.S. Department of Transportation laws and regulations to include BHSN s policies and procedures Other duties as assigned.
Your skills and qualifications:
Must maintain an excellent driving record as a requirement of continued employment; Ability to comprehend state and federal rules and regulations pertaining to transportation a must; Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and vehicle mechanical techniques preferred; Data entry skills is helpful; High School Diploma or equivalent required; Must be capable of sitting in one location for long periods of time .
