Job Description
Approved Storage & Waste Hauling has established itself as a leading independent provider of Medical Waste Management since 1996. We are seeking a motivated CDL Class B driver with a Hazmat endorsement to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for packing, transporting and properly disposing of waste material in accordance with our environmentally responsible policies and procedures. Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations. Label containers and complete pre-printed manifests / work orders. Performs various regulatory compliance and safety tasks including, but not limited to: Pre-trip inspections of vehicle, report all losses, spills, accidents, and safety violations to supervisor immediately and resolve leaking containers/containers. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and route information in accordance with DOT regulations. Performs warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of waste materials. Loads, unloads, moves, or stores items according to delivery or routing documents, or supervisor instructions and performing general housekeeping Provide services related to hazardous and non-hazardous waste removal from customer sites. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. Valid CDL license with all necessary endorsements; Hazmat endorsement is mandatory (Driver's abstract — must submit a valid driver's abstract dated within the last 30 days). Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of freight handling procedures including load & unload processes using forklifts or similar equipment. Strong working knowledge of Environmental/Regulatory/DOT rules and regulations. Strong commitment to safety protocols and excellent driving record.
