Job Description
Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Class B Vacuum Truck Route Driver to support sustainable environmental services across industrial, automotive, and commercial customers. In this field-based role, you will operate a Class B vacuum truck on scheduled routes, safely collecting, pumping, and transporting used oil, wastewater, and other materials in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate manifests and logs, and interact professionally with customers. Responsibilities Operate and drive a Class B vacuum truck on assigned routes to industrial, automotive, and commercial customer sites Safely collect, pump, and transport used oil, wastewater, and other non-hazardous and hazardous materials per regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and report vehicle issues promptly Follow all DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations, company safety policies, and documentation requirements Complete manifests, logs, and electronic records accurately for materials handled and routes completed Communicate professionally with customers, addressing service needs and ensuring high-quality, compliant service Collaborate with dispatch and operations to plan efficient routes and meet daily service schedules Use hoses, pumps, and related vacuum truck equipment safely, including proper setup and breakdown at job sites Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives Assist with yard/warehouse tasks, equipment cleaning, and other duties as assigned Required Skills Class B CDL driving Vacuum truck operation Knowledge of DOT regulations Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Hazardous and non-hazardous waste handling Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Route planning and time management Customer service in field operations Completion of manifests and regulatory paperwork Safe use of pumps, hoses, and related equipment
