Non-CDL OTR Box Truck Driver — Immediate Hire New York-Based Moving Company | Long-Distance Household Furniture Moves Peak season is here, and we are hiring experienced Non-CDL OTR Box Truck Drivers immediately. We are looking for road-ready professionals who take pride in their work, treat customers with respect, and protect household belongings as if they were their own. This is a true over-the-road position operating a company-provided 26-ft non-CDL box truck for long-distance interstate moving routes. Position Overview You will load, transport, and deliver household furniture and personal belongings primarily along the East Coast and east of the Mississippi River . Drivers are typically on the road 3 to 6 days per week , with all hotel accommodations paid by the company. This is not an entry-level position. Professional driving experience is required, and prior experience in household moving, furniture delivery, or long-haul box truck driving is strongly preferred. Compensation $0.45 per mile roundtrip on every long-distance move Origin and Destination pay based on shipment weight Extra load bonus for each additional load picked up on a trip Performance bonuses for consistently excellent work Paid weekly — every week, no delays Paid sick time Company-paid hotel accommodations for every night away from home Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-ft non-CDL box truck Drive up to 10 hours per day while on the road Load and unload household furniture and personal belongings Properly blanket wrap and protect all customer items to prevent damage Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Accurately complete delivery paperwork and documentation Handle money and payment transactions responsibly Follow all DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements Maintain a driver Logbook and/or ELD Provide professional, courteous customer service at origin and destination Work independently and manage your time effectively while on the road Requirements Professional driving experience required Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must pass a background check Must pass a pre-employment drug test No CDL required Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service preferred Physically able to load and unload heavy household furniture Comfortable managing paperwork and financial transactions Weekend availability required when needed Ability to work independently for extended periods Positive, professional, customer-focused attitude Ideal Candidate The ideal driver is experienced, dependable, and customer-focused.
