Job Summary Must live within 10 miles to get full time employment. Part time has flexible shifts, nights, weekends, day and night. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized tow trucks to assist stranded motorists, recover vehicles, and ensure safe transportation of vehicles across various locations. Your mechanical expertise, driving skills, and customer service attitude will drive our mission to deliver prompt, professional service while maintaining safety and efficiency on every call. Duties Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and other specialized vehicles, to recover and transport vehicles of all sizes. Perform vehicle loading and unloading with precision, adhering to cargo securement protocols to prevent damage or accidents. Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on vehicles when necessary, including automotive diagnostics and repair skills. Follow proper vehicle mechanics for truck drivers procedures to ensure optimal performance of tow trucks. Manage vehicle recovery towing operations efficiently while maintaining compliance with safety standards and traffic laws. Communicate clearly with customers, dispatchers, and emergency responders to coordinate timely assistance. Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and safety inspections for record-keeping purposes. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving or car towing with a valid driver's license for heavy or commercial vehicles. Mechanical knowledge including automotive diagnostics, minor mechanical repairs, and basic vehicle troubleshooting. Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks. Hands-on experience operating flatbed tow trucks or similar equipment such as forklifts is preferred. Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally while prioritizing safety. Knowledge of vehicle mechanics relevant for truck drivers enhances your ability to perform minor repairs on-site. Demonstrated ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently using manual transmission trucks or other specialized equipment.
