Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Class A (Air brake endorsement) Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating various types of trucks and transporting goods and materials to designated locations within the NY state and the Northeast. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, and boom trucks
- Transport goods and materials to assigned destinations in a timely manner
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Truck Driver
- Ability to perform labor when needed is preferential
- Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles
- Experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Familiarity with automotive repair is an asset
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class A, no restrictions)
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to safely operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, etc.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps efficiently
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during transportation We offer competitive pay for this position.
Pay:
$25.61- $35.
