TransAm Trucking seeks CDL-A Independent Contractor Truck Drivers to haul refrigerated freight across the Midwest, East Coast, and Southern U.S. As an owner-operator partner, you'll run over-the-road and regional routes, ensuring safe, on-time, temperature-controlled deliveries. Operate a modern, well-maintained fleet within a professional, driver-centric culture that emphasizes safety, respect, and reliable communication. Responsibilities Operate CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling refrigerated freight over-the-road and regional routes Ensure on-time, safe pickup and delivery of temperature-controlled loads Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings Maintain
FMCSA/DOT
compliance, including accurate HOS and ELD records Monitor and manage trailer temperatures to protect temperature-sensitive freight Communicate proactively with dispatch, customers, and support staff on load status Follow all company safety policies and procedures and report incidents promptly Plan efficient routes, fuel stops, and schedules to maximize uptime and earnings Safely maneuver equipment in yards, docks, and customer facilities Provide professional, courteous customer service at all pickup and delivery locations Required Skills CDL-A driving Long-haul / regional trucking Refrigerated (reefer) freight handling
