Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Wrecker Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tow trucks and recovery vehicles to assist with vehicle towing, recovery, and roadside assistance. Your expertise in h duty diagnostics, mechanical repair, and cargo securement protocols will ensure efficient and safe vehicle recovery operations. Responsibilities Operate flatbed tow trucks and vehicle recovery equipment to tow, recover, and transport vehicles efficiently and safely Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs to ensure proper functioning of tow trucks and recovery tools Safely load and unload vehicles onto tow trucks following cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit Assist with vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical issues requiring towing or repair Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members to coordinate recovery operations and provide excellent customer service Follow all safety procedures related to vehicle loading onto tow trucks, cargo securement, and roadside assistance protocols Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, inspections, and mechanical repairs performed Skills Proven experience in heavy duty dagnostics, semi truck trailer repair, and minor mechanical vehicle troubleshooting Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving and flatbed or tow truck operation Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle mechanics for truck drivers and semi towing equipment Ability to perform safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks or to front of semi while adhering to cargo securement protocols Excellent driving skills with manual transmission proficiency preferred Knowledge of vehicle recovery towing techniques and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers Effective conflict management skills combined with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service Join our team as a Wrecker Operator if you thrive in a fast-paced environment where safety, technical expertise, and customer satisfaction are paramount.
