Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you will operate roll offs ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo. Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized routes for timely deliveries while maintaining awareness of traffic conditions and route changes. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records in accordance with FMCSA regulations; communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A or B license; familiarity with manual transmission trucks is essential. Strong knowledge of trucking regulations including
FMCSA, DOT
regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery schedules across OTR routes. Experience with freight handling involving load & unload procedures for various cargo types. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety; capable of managing long hours on the road while maintaining alertness and professionalism. Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients; detail-oriented approach to documentation and compliance requirements.
