Job Description
Class A CDL Truck Driver USA Precast Concrete, Ltd. | Canal Fulton, OH USA Precast Concrete is looking for an experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver, knuckle boom/crane experience a plus, to join our team. This is not just a driving position. Our drivers are responsible for safely transporting precast concrete products to jobsites and using truck-mounted knuckle boom/crane equipment to unload and place products safely and efficiently. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their equipment, understands the responsibility that comes with hauling heavy products, and can represent our company professionally when working with customers and contractors in the field. What You'll Do Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle transporting precast concrete products Operate a truck-mounted knuckle boom/crane to unload products at customer jobsites Properly position, rig, lift, and place precast products Secure loads using chains, binders, straps, and other required equipment Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections Inspect truck, trailer, crane, rigging, and related equipment before use Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery paperwork, and inspection records Coordinate with production and yard personnel to ensure loads are correct and properly secured Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and jobsite personnel Evaluate jobsite conditions before unloading and determine a safe setup location Maintain a clean, organized truck and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly Assist with loading, unloading, and other duties when needed What We're Looking For Required Valid Class A CDL Previous knuckle boom, articulating crane, or truck-mounted crane experience Experience safely securing and transporting heavy loads Strong understanding of DOT and commercial vehicle safety requirements Acceptable driving record & be able to be insured by the company Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and active construction jobsites Ability to perform physical work associated with securing loads, rigging, and deliveries Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and make safe decisions in the field Driving & DOT Requirements Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable company and DOT requirements.
Candidates must:
Have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and authorize an MVR review as part of the hiring process Meet all applicable DOT driver qualification requirements Be able to obtain and maintain a valid DOT Medical Certificate Successfully complete any required DOT drug and alcohol testing Maintain a valid Class A CDL and remain qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle throughout employment Preferred Experience hauling precast concrete, construction materials, steel, block, pipe, lumber, or other heavy building materials Previous knuckle boom, articulating crane, or truck-mounted crane experience Experience with flatbed or similar trailers Rigging experience Experience delivering to construction jobsites Familiarity with precast concrete products The Right Person for This Position We are looking for someone who understands that being a professional driver means more than getting from Point A to Point B.
