Vacation and PTO Introduction:
This position is responsible for delivering products to a wide variety of customers.
Major responsibilities for drivers are:
driving, unloading product (by hand with 2-wheel dolly), and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General office duties including filing. Deliver products to our customers on assigned routes. Drivers unload entire trailer by hand with a two-wheel dolly walking product down a ramp out of the trailer and into the customer facility. Safely operate straight truck or tractor-trailer on assigned route. Maintain a high level of customer service. This includes but is not limited to writing credits, correcting problems, providing customer with their order quickly, on time and placed in the proper area undamaged. Communicate quickly, clearly and precisely on all customer service issues between I Supply and our clients. Complete all necessary forms legibly and on a timely basis. Collect on deliveries for selected accounts. Change/adjust equipment to ensure legal weight distribution. Understand, embrace and encourage the fulfillment of our Mission Statement with all associates. Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
High School diploma preferred or GED accepted. Two to four years' experience driving a straight or refrigerated tractor trailer truck. Ability to read and complete various forms and records as required. Drivers must be able to conduct themselves in an appropriate business manner at all times under all conditions with customers, general public and co-workers.
Class B Commercial Drivers License Physical Qualifications:
Regularly work in an office setting but may be required to walk long distances within a warehouse. Physically lift, several hundred times, cargo weighing 50 to 100 pounds over a minimum of an 8 hour period. Conduct extensive physical work in all types of weather conditions from very warm to very cold temperatures. Walking, lifting (up to 75lbs.), bending, reaching, twisting, driving and walking a loaded (250-500lbs.) dolly down a 20 foot ramp and into a customer location. Ability to do all above with multiple replications over a minimum of an 8 hour period. Drive safely in all kinds of weather and traffic conditions. Exposure to warehouse environment with noise, dust, odors and fluctuating temperatures. Frequently required to sit, stand, speak and hear.
