McLane Company, a major player in the supply chain services industry, is looking for a dedicated CDL A Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of grocery and foodservice products to our vast network of convenience stores, mass merchants, drug stores, and chain restaurants across the United States. McLane operates over 80 distribution centers, maximizing logistics and distribution efficiency. As a CDL A Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in maintaining the high standards of timely and professional delivery services which McLane is known for, directly impacting our overarching goal of operational excellence. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to various locations as scheduled and in compliance with company guidelines and DOT regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance as required. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, adhering strictly to best practices in time management. Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle. Collect and verify delivery instructions, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Report defects, accidents, or violations and follow accident procedures. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. Provide excellent customer service, addressing and resolving any customer issues during deliveries. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.). Ability to handle physical workload and to lift heavy objects. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required. Meets the physical and medical requirements of the DOT. Clean driving record. TSA hazardous material endorsement or the ability to obtain.
