Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic team at Astrom Transportation, Inc., an approved service provider for FedEx. Based in Cincinnati, OH, we are committed to safety and delivering exceptional service. We value our drivers and offer a supportive, friendly work environment. Duties Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles. Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment. Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies from tractors and/or trailers. Verify and complete required documentation and reports. Maintain accurate daily logs. Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, or equipment issues. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies/procedures. Drive an average of 1,729 miles per week. 7 days, 2am dispatch. Qualifications Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with doubles/triples endorsement ( automatic transmission CDL restriction allowed ). Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience within the last 3 years, or successful completion of the FedEx Freight Driver Development Course. Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets hiring standards. Ability to sit for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, twisting, and climbing in and out of the truck.
