Animal Transport Driver PositionPosition Summary The Animal Transport Driver is responsible for the safe and humane transportation of animals for the Stark County Humane Society. This position requires excellent driving skills, compassion for animals, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of animal care and professionalism. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading animals, maintain transport vehicles and equipment, and ensure accurate records are completed. Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older . Possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to safely handle and transport animals of various sizes and temperaments. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with animal transport. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Schedule Requirements Flexible schedule available. Availability for on-call shifts as needed. Ability to work overnight shifts and occasional weekends or holidays. Must be able to respond to changing transport needs and emergency situations. Essential Duties Safely transport animals while ensuring their health, comfort, and welfare. Follow all vehicle safety regulations and organizational protocols. Monitor animals during transport and report any concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of transport vehicles and equipment. Complete transport logs and other required documentation. Provide professional and courteous interactions with staff, volunteers, veterinary partners, and the public. Assist with the loading and unloading of animals and supplies as needed. Maintain confidentiality and represent the Stark County Humane Society in a professional manner. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods. Comfortable working in various weather conditions and around animals of all sizes and temperaments. Pay:

$14.00 - $20.00 per hour
