Job Overview Are you a motivated and dependable driver with a passion for automotive work? We're seeking an energetic Tow Truck Driver to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll be the first responder for vehicle recoveries, providing prompt and professional roadside assistance. Your mechanical aptitude and customer service skills will ensure every tow is handled efficiently, safely, and with a positive attitude. Duties Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover disabled or illegally parked vehicles from various locations. Safely load, unload, and secure vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches, hooks, and straps. Conduct basic automotive diagnostics to assess vehicle condition prior to towing or repair. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining services, and addressing concerns professionally. Assist with automotive repair tasks when necessary, leveraging mechanical knowledge and mechanic experience to perform minor repairs or diagnostics. Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction while maintaining safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including documentation of vehicle conditions and locations. Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while operating heavy-duty equipment on public roads and private property. Support load & unload operations for automotive parts or equipment when required. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not required. Proven experience operating tow trucks, flatbeds, or similar commercial vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive diagnostics and repair. Familiarity with manual transmissions and basic automotive repair tools. Ability to perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues quickly during roadside assistance or repairs. Prior experience working as a mechanic or in automotive repair is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally under pressure. Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, operate machinery, and perform manual tasks throughout the shift. Knowledge of safety standards related to tow truck operation and vehicle recovery procedures.
