In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes. Pulling containers out of the Columbus rails and depots. Company drivers and Owner Operators wanted Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Transport freight via route driving, including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, and dangerous goods, across regional or long-haul routes Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary, ensuring secure truck loading and unloading procedures Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation adjustments Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical issues Log monthly maintenance forms Requirements Minimum of 18 months over-the-road experience in the past 60 months, of which 12 months must be within the past 36 months that is similar experience (

moving violations/accidents in the past 36 months or 1 point in the last 12 months
Minor moving violations (1 point each): improper stop, lane violation, speeding (1-19 mph over speed limit), traffic control device, unsafe operation of motor vehicle, failure to yield, one preventable accident, improper U-turn or improper backing or turning, red light, stop sign. Two points (2) for each of the following: following too closely, careless driving. No Type I
violation within the past 36 months
Type I violations include: use of a handheld communication device, failure to report an accident, failure to aid/stop/identify, wrong way on highway, at fault accident with fatality, allowing non- licensed operator to operate vehicle, speeding (20+ over limit) No Type II
violation within the past 60 months
Type II violations include: DUI, false report to dept.
