Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Rolloff/Route Driver and become a vital part of our solid waste management operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating roll-off and rearloader trucks to collect, transport, and dispose of municipal and commercial waste. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety protocols, and excellent customer service will ensure efficient route execution and positive interactions with clients. This position offers an engaging outdoor work environment where your mechanical knowledge and traffic law awareness make a real difference in community cleanliness and sustainability. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of trucks including roll-off, front loader, and rear loader trucks, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws Load, unload, and transport waste materials efficiently while adhering to hazardous materials regulations when applicable Conduct routine inspections of trucks for mechanical issues, air brake functionality, and overall safety compliance before and after routes Follow designated route schedules, navigate traffic laws diligently, and maintain timely pickups across multiple locations Load and unload waste containers using manual lifting techniques or mechanical front-end loaders while prioritizing safety and proper lifting procedures Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during pickups and drop-offs Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, route completion times, vehicle inspections, and incident reports Experience Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial trucks such as roll-off trucks, front loaders, or garbage trucks in municipal or solid waste management settings Solid understanding of traffic laws, DOT regulations, air brake systems, and hazardous materials handling standards Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting on trucks and related equipment Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocol adherence Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for heavy truck operation (manual transmission experience preferred) Prior experience in route driving with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer interaction is highly desirable Join us to drive impactful change in waste management! Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour
