Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient pickup and delivery of freight, equipment inspections, route management, and maintaining compliance with all company and DOT regulations. The ideal candidate takes pride in providing excellent service, maintaining equipment, and representing the company in a professional manner. Key Responsibilities Safely transport and deliver freight to customer locations. Pick up and return freight according to scheduled routes. Plan and maintain efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and service. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Hook and unhook trailers, including operating landing gear as needed. Complete and submit required reports, logs, and trip documentation accurately and on time. Utilize and maintain electronic logging (E-Log) systems. Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs) are properly completed, signed, and delivered. Keep assigned equipment clean, safe, and well-maintained. Immediately report accidents, delays, breakdowns, traffic issues, weather impacts, or other emergencies. Follow all company policies and federal, state, local, and DOT regulations. Operate company equipment safely and professionally at all times. Foster a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented work environment. Assist with forklift operations and other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Required Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Minimum of 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience. Safe driving record. Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations. Working knowledge of vehicle safety systems and operating procedures. Ability to meet or exceed U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) medical requirements. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), inspections, and maintenance requirements. High School Diploma or GED. Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods. Minimum vision of 20/40 (with corrective lenses if needed). Good hearing ability. Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist, climb, pull, and push as needed. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Ability to secure loads and perform all physical functions required to maintain a valid CDL. Work Environment Independent work for extended periods. Regular interaction with trucks, trailers, freight, and heavy equipment. Moderate to high noise levels. Combination of indoor and outdoor work.
