Job Description
Overview Join our team as a Snow Plow Driver and become a vital part of ensuring safe and accessible pathways during winter weather conditions. In this energetic role, you'll operate snow plowing equipment to clear roads, parking lots, and walkways, helping communities stay safe and functional despite heavy snowfall. Your expertise in outdoor work, safety protocols, and equipment operation will drive our success in maintaining a secure environment during winter months. Duties Operate snow plow trucks and related groundskeeping equipment efficiently to clear snow from designated areas Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow vehicles to ensure safety and proper functioning Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and enhance safety on roads and walkways Communicate effectively with team members regarding weather conditions, equipment needs, and safety concerns Maintain detailed logs of plowing activities, including areas cleared and materials used Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including power tools and mechanical components Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to prevent accidents or injuries in outdoor environments Experience Prior outdoor work experience, especially in snow removal or groundskeeping roles Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle operation, maintenance, and repair of snow plows and power tools Familiarity with landscaping, lawn care, gardening, or hardscape maintenance is a plus Knowledge of safety procedures for outdoor equipment operation and winter weather conditions Experience with grounds maintenance equipment operation such as hand tools, irrigation systems, or tree trimming tools is advantageous Ability to identify hazards related to icy conditions and respond appropriately using proper techniques and tools Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in cold outdoor environments This role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive outdoors and are committed to safety while maintaining essential infrastructure during winter storms.
